The Petra Marriott Hotel is situated on a steep
sloping site overlooking the dramatic and picturesque Petra valley. The
100 room hotel was built in 1996 and has recently gone under a major
renovation before being branded as a Marriott. The hotel is a short five
minutes drive from the Visitor Center at the entrance of the historic
and magnificent Petra the Rose-Red City which was built by the
Nabataeans over 2000 years ago. For dining and entertainment, the Petra
Marriott has a casual restaurant and a bar/lounge. Recreational
amenities include a Fitness Club with a sauna, outdoor swimming pool and
a Turkish Bath. Other amenities include a 24 hours room service, a 27
seats auditorium, in room mini bar, a gift shop, surface parking for 28
cars. For social events and conference the Petra Marriott offers 1790 sq
feet of meeting space, which is divisible into two sections.
